Editorial policy
The rules we follow for listings, guides and blog posts.
Listings
- Facts come from published sources and link back to them.
- We don’t guess. Missing hours or requirements stay marked as unknown.
- We list organizational contact details only, never a private person’s.
- There is no public submission form. Changes go through a reviewed process.
- We never remove a listing just because its source went offline. Instead, we warn that it needs verification.
Guides and blog posts
- Each article answers a real food-access question in Gainesville or Alachua County.
- Schedules and lists in articles come from the live database, not from copied text.
- We cite sources and don’t make up statistics, quotes or expert reviews.
- Automation may draft ideas, but a person reviews every article before it’s published.
- An article’s “Updated” date changes only when its content meaningfully changes.
Corrections
If a listing is wrong, we correct it and keep a dated record of what changed and why. Corrections to articles show a new “Updated” date. To report a problem, see contact and corrections.
Independence
PantryGNV doesn’t sell placement, ranking or reviews. Organizations can’t pay to appear or to be listed first. There are no ratings, and we don’t publish reviews.
